TIES is a public network to store databases. It is decentralized and uses distributed storage. Smart contracts on the Ethereum platform are used to uphold the rules of the TIES network. Ethereum hosts many decentralized apps which require storage. Having centralized storage solutions for such apps is a single point of failure. This is where TIES comes to the picture. TIES competes with IPFS (Inter-Planetary file system), another popular network which is used by Dapp devs. TIES can also be used to build a document registry and a social media platform.
