Bitcoin Cash is the most popular hard-fork of Bitcoin. For many years, a huge scalability debate has been on-going in the Bitcoin ecosystem. One group focused on maintaining the decentralized nature of bitoin at the cost of high fees and bad user experience. The other side wanted to increase the block-size. As these visions are incompatible, a hardfork occurred in August, 2017 with an immediate increase to 8mb. With a larger blocksize, it can support more transactions per second. Future versions will have an adjustable block cap, where the miners decide what the blocksize should be. This is similar to Bitcoin Unlimited, and shares its vision with Bitcoin Classic and BitcoinXT. Proponents of this coin claim that they adhere to the “Satoshi (founder of Bitcoin) vision” better than Bitcoin(referred to as “Bitcoin Core”). It is also called as Bcash by some exchanges. It does not support segwit, and has less active devs than Bitcoin.
