The MetaCity Forum, with the permanent chair BOSAGORA, is holding the ‘Global ESG MetaCity Summit 2021’ jointly with Namyangju!

We witnessed metaverse catching on real fast this year, as pandemic continues to inhibit the mobility of people. We are holding a global summit on the physical world and Metaverse platform running parallel to discuss adopting Metaverse in the public sector and what cities could offer to their inhabitants.

During the summit, we are inviting global and Korean experts to share their ideas and discuss what Metaverse could offer for municipalities and utilize the technology for reinforcing ESG administration.

Don Tapscott is a member of the Order of Canada, one of the world’s leading authorities on the impact of technology on business and society, pioneer in the advancement of the blockchain. He was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame in 2019, two years after ranking #2 in 2017.

His bestselling books include ‘Paradigm Shift’ and ‘Blockchain Revolution’, and he is an active contributor to management columns for ‘Forbes’, ‘Harvard Business Review’, and ‘Wall Street Journal’.

At this summit, Don Tapscott will present the social change that blockchain and metaverse will bring and the future society we will face under the theme of “The Metaverse: How Blockchain is Enabling the Next Era of Collaboration, Commerce and Citizenship”.

Unveiling the first MetaCity for public sector

During the summit, president In-hwan Kim of the BOSAGORA Foundation will address the guests, and ‘MetaCity’, which combines the blockchain and metaverse, will be unveiled to the world for the first time.

MetaCity Forum’s view the summit as a monumental event to showcase the future of the convergence of the public domain and the Metaverse.

MetaCity is not limited to the public domain but will be the medium that best connects the virtual world with the real economy in various fields such as finance, real estate, travel, cultural life, shopping, and entertainment.
