Last Monday we hosted another community AMA with an update on the status of the Mobie. This time around, we covered MobieNetwork, MobieLabs, the Audits, the Mobie App, MobieSwap, the Merchant Widget, the Tokenized Community, and where we’re going next.

MobieNetwork
Initially, we started off as MobiePay so people would know what type of project we were doing. We have grown into so many different ventures, that we have decided as a company to move MobiePay into MobieNetwork to broaden the scope of all the different technologies and products that we can build, utilizing what we’ve been doing for the last three years, which will in turn help with more utility within our platform.
This change helps build the Mobie ecosystem into a network, not just with the payment and banking functionality, but with other on-chain and off-chain products that will enhance our products greatly.
Because of this growth, we are officially moving MobiePay to MobieNetwork. Look out for our updated social media handles.
MobieNetwork will be the hub for all of the crypto-specific innovation that is encompassed under the Mobie umbrella. So everything from the Mobie Bridge, MobieSwap, the token side of the app, the tokenized community, and staking + rewards functionalities will live within the Mobie Network page.
MobieLabs
Mobie Labs is a venture studio incubator that will continue to build out products, acquire other IP, and launch other blockchain products on our platform which will provide even more utility with our token. This includes an NFT marketplace and some other gaming initiatives. Mobie Labs is going to be the parent organization for MobieNetworks and the Mobie ecosystem in general.

Audit Updates
2 out of the 5 audits have been completed. The completed audits are the security ops audit and the banking audit. The next audit we expect to be completed is the UI/UX audit, and the Dev Ops audit should be completed shortly after.
The token audit is still a moving target, but luckily, we’re at the phase where we’ve been cleared to continue moving forward with actually launching the app without that audit with an internal target for the end of the month.
One of the other really exciting things to come out of these audits is that we’re going to be able to let everyone internationally come off of the waitlist, download the Mobie app, and have real functionality to use it regardless of if you’re in the United States or not.
Mobie App News
Big News: international waitlist users will be able to onboard to a limited functionality version of the Mobie App. Banking at this time will still be restricted to United States residents.
Due to continuing work on compliance, certain states will have banking restrictions at launch.
Non-Operational ACH : Connecticut, Hawaii, New York, New Hampshire, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia
Non-Operational Card: New York, Texas
All users can still send and receive crypto through our Peer-to-Peer system, and also use the retailer program to earn rewards.
Mobie Swap
We’re in the process of implementing phase one of updating the bridge to the new UI. From there, we plan on adding more exchange functionality with our liquidity partners. Afterward, we'll be adding more trading pairs with some of our partners like Orion. At the moment, we’re still exploring fee structures to make sure that Mobie’s users always can perform swaps affordably.
Merchant Checkout Widget
This widget isn’t coming out yet, but development is going very well, so we wanted to tell our community about it a little early.
The Merchant Checkout Widget has been built as an easily installable piece of code for merchants to embed as a quick pay solution directly on their website or e-commerce store.
The widget is highly configurable for merchants. A merchant can pick their own logo to render inside this checkout widget. They can also pick a color theme that matches the native color themes of their business. Merchants will also have the ability to configure cashback and discounts.
On top of that, merchants can also add other default payment methods should they want their customers to have the option to use PayPal, MasterCard, or other options.
This widget will be a huge advancement in enabling more online retailers to let customers make purchases with their Mobie Wallet, and help speed up adoption and usage.
Tokenized Community
We’ll be sharing the full GitBook that explains what a Tokenized Community is, and how Mobie’s tokenized community will work. It will lay out all the benefits, the membership tiers, and the privileges gained at each level
Here’s a brief explanation of the tiers and benefits:
Bronze Membership
Hold 75,000 wMBX in your MetaMask wallet and join a passionate crypto community interested in changing the way we make payments forever.
As a Bronze membership holder, you’ll get the following benefits:
- Early access to Mobie roadmap updates
- Deals on Swag and Merch
- A chance to participate in the Mobie Bounty Program
The minimum tokens required for the Bronze membership will increase by 10,000 wMBX each month.
Silver Membership
Hold 200,000 wMBX in your MetaMask wallet and participate in our community forum. Get instant access to earn more wMBX through our Bounty program.
As a Silver Membership holder, you’ll get the perks of a Bronze Membership PLUS have the opportunity to submit questions 3 days prior to our monthly AMA, and get voting privileges in AMAs and concerns to bring up with the team. A silver membership’s vote will count for 2 points of our overall consideration.
The membership requirement will increase by 20,000 wMBX each month.
Gold Membership
Hold 500,000 wMBX in your MetaMask wallet and receive all the perks of the Silver Membership plus the following benefits:
- Exclusive access to C level executives, corporate initiatives and roadmap updates
- Community Voting Privileges (counts for 5 points of our overall consideration)
- Swag discounts.
- Participate in our live monthly AMAs — join the conversation, show you’re interested, and address your concerns.
