We are happy to share that a new community node will be added from the next staking cycle: The NightShade Node! The new node will go live on COTI’s MainNet on June 1st with 8M COTI staking capacity, which will bring the total staking volume to 129M COTI.
The NightShade Node is the 13th COTI Community node and the 20th in total.
We continue to select TestNet operators who patiently await their turn to become the next MainNet node operators while knowing the demand is high.
However, it is now not the length of their wait alone that will determine the selection of the operators, but also the nature of their activity as well as their contribution to the network.
On that note, we are happy to reveal that NightShade, one of COTI’s oldest TestNet operator, who joined the COTI community back in 2018, has been selected to be the very next MainNet node operator.
We are confident that NightShade is an important asset to the COTI node operator team and we wish him all the success with his new MainNet node.

The demand for participation in Staking 3.0 continues to be very high and we receive application requests at a very high pace. We increased the total staking volume from 80M COTI in Staking 2.0 to 129M COTI in Staking 3.0 and the queue remains super high. It only shows the success of our Staking program and we will continue adding nodes gradually.
