Polkamarkets MVP Testnet is Now Live!
Today is a momentous day for Polkamarkets. Our MVP Testnet is now live! Ever since our launch in late February of this year, we have promised our community to bring the best forecasting tool to the market. Just a few short months later, we are releasing this major milestone and taking another step towards fulfilling that promise.

We’d like to thank our amazing community members for sticking with us these past few months as we have built our product. We’d also like to thank our partners BEPRO Network and Moonbeam for providing critical technology and expertise to build our prediction market. Without further ado, here are the details of our Polkamarkets MVP Testnet!
It’s time to forecast a better future
The Polkamarkets MVP Testnet will allow our early supporters, AMA & Competition Winners, and $POLK token holders to gain early access to our prediction markets. The goal is to test the platform and gather critical feedback and performance data from real users. Although the platform will be running on Kovan Testnet (with testnet ETH without any real value), this MVP Testnet will showcase the basic functionality of Polkamarkets when it comes to life on the mainnet.
It’s time for Polkamarkets
Users will be able to make forecasts and take positions on several prediction markets curated by the Polkamarkets Team. These markets will include Crypto prices, Esports, and Sports markets. We encourage our participants to actively test the platform and all its functionalities and give us feedback on everything, down to the minutest detail. Our mission is to bring the market the best-looking and smoothest UI/UX the prediction market industry has ever seen. The feedback from our earliest and most engaged supporters is key to our success.
We’ll gradually give access to all members to ensure everything runs smoothly on the platform. We’ll be contacting whitelisted members during the following days and invite them to our closed beta. Stay tuned!

Polkamarkets will be running on the Kovan Testnet. Make sure you’re connected to the correct network in your Metamask Wallet
Tip: In order to get some Ethereum in your Kovan Ethereum wallet you can connect to Kovan’s faucet and get 2 ETH every 24h: https://faucet.kovan.network/
