Ethverse Mainnet Launch
We are excited to announce the launch of Ethverse on mainnet. This launch is more than what we just promised but many more features that will drive Ethverse towards more engagement and adoption.
In this article, we will highlight the work we have done so far and what all is coming today with the mainnet launch and new releases we have planned for this month and our services launch roadmap for next few weeks.

Journey So Far
Ethverse beta was launched on GTA5 at the end of December 2020. The beta featured the amalgamation of everyone’s favourite GTA5 with crypto. The beta included features such as wallet connect to support multiple wallet, in game payment option, NFT integration in the game, in game changes to change the user experience based on the NFT they hold and the audition of first few collectibles inside Ethverse including luxury supercar and fancy number plate.
Since the beta launch, our team has worked relentlessly to improve the platform and build an immersive ecosystem for people of Ethverse. There have been multiple product releases in the past few months and each release brought closer Ethverse to a reality. Some of the major updatges since January include:
Database upgrade — We upgraded the existing database system for a better inventory management and to accommodate the future additions we plan to do in Ethverse.
User Onboarding Process — User onboarding was completely overhauled to make it more user friendly. New system was setup for creating and customising characters in Ethverse.
In game mechanics — Ehverse has implemented new in-game mechanics that seamlessly integrates crypto with the game and make the experience immersive for the players. An example of this implementation is claiming a car inside the Ethverse after purchasing a car NFT. The claiming process isn’t done through boring UI but through game activity. Such implementations will pave way for the future growth of the platform and ecosystem.
Since the launch of beta we have added many features which will be a part of the main launch. Moreover, we also have heaps of new features which will be released this month to make Ethverse a unique platform.
Server Scaling
Ethverse mainnet is built to scale and will support 120 concurrent users with 120 active voice channels further scaled to over 1000 voice channels. This will be further extendable as the Ethverse community grows. Ethverse mainnet will support minimal latency and real life experience within the Ethverse metaverse.
With this update users will be able to talk to other members based on proximity, call anyone within Ethverse using the custom mobile phone with a unique number assigned to each mobile handset owner and still have the capacity to add more voice related services like PTT, radio etc.
Layer 2 Integration — Polygon Wallet
We have been working with the Polygon (MATIC) team to implement layer 2 scaling in Ethverse for many in game transactions. We are delighted to share that we have not only successfully implemented MATIC chain integration but has built a custom bridge to make token transfers and accessibility between the chains.
Ethverse Interchain Bridge
During the layer 2 implementation, we realized that scaling was adding too many steps for the users which may have worked for defi audience but was severely impacting the user experience of gamers with limited knowledge and experience in using blockchain. Moreover, any additional step affects the in-game experience and it becomes essential to have smooth transition of ETHV tokens between Ethereum and MATIC chain.
Ethverse Interchain Bridge makes ETHV token transfers between Ethereum and MATIC smooth and seamless. Users will be able to deposit ETHV tokens in the bridge contract and instantly receive ETHV tokens on the MATIC chain. The token transfer between MATIC and Ethereum is equally fast and smooth.
Layer 2 wallet will be accessible using multiple wallets and users will be able to access layer 2 tokens without the need to jump between the hoops to use ETHV tokens on Layer 2. Layer 2 wallet will also serve as the in game wallet to make payments for in game purchases and to pay other users. Additionally, users will receive token rewards on-chain on layer 2.

Ethverse tokens (ETHV) have been minted on MATIC chain and will be swappable with ETHV tokens on Ethereum 1:1 with Ethverse 2-way interchain bridge. ETHV token contract on MATIC chain is

Ethverse eCitizenship
Ethverse is excited to bring eCitizenship NFT to the citizens of Ethverse Los Santos. These NFTs will provide special privileges and rewards to the citizenship holders. Some of the rewards/ privileges for Ethverse eCitizenship holders include:
Daily Rewards: Ethverse eCitizenship holders will be able to claim ETHV tokens multiple times per day within the game. These rewards will be distributed in Ethverse’s in-game wallet on Polygon(Matic). This highly rewarding proposition will improve engagement in Ethverse.
Priority access: Ethverse eCitizenship NFT holders will receive priority access to Ethverse in events or servers when compared with normal residents on Ethverse.

Business NFTs
Ethverse token holders will be able to buy business or a part in businesses in Ethverse through business NFTs. These businesses can include hospitals, car dealerships, mechanic shops, petrol pumps, hotels etc. The business NFTs will represent licenses to operate the associated businesses in Ethverse.
Business NFT owners will be rewarded a fixed percentage for holding the NFTs from a reward pool. These rewards will be used to bootstrap the businesses while the community is growing. In addition to the fixed rewards allocated for the business NFT owners, Business NFT owners will earn rewards from income generated in the businesses in Ethverse.
These NFTs will have fixed supply and these limited NFTs will be tradable in the secondary market. These NFTs will be supported in multiple marketplaces.
