As of today, we are releasing our Web Wallet and Mobile Wallet.

Web Wallet and Mobile Wallet

Both the Web Wallet and Mobile Wallet allow you to easily access your coins without having to download, sync and maintain a local Espers Node. This is a major step to make Espers more user-friendly and appeal to the masses.

The Web Wallet can be accessed at https://wallet.espers.io/ and allows you to generate a new wallet or open an existing wallet which had been previously created through the Web/Mobile wallet. Be sure to store the key in a safe location so as not to lose access to your wallet! Once open you can receive and
send Espers.

The Android Mobile Wallet can be downloaded here as an .apk file for Android (View installation guide). Google Play store release will be made available soon.

Q: Does the Web Wallet/Mobile Wallet store my private key?
A: No! The private key used to access your coins is only known by you. It is not stored on our servers.
Q: Is the Mobile Wallet available for iOS?
A: Currently the iOS Mobile Wallet is being reviewed by the App Store, hopefully the wallet should become available very soon. Click here to view the demo.
Q: Is Staking available on the Web Wallet or Mobile Wallet?
A: No, staking is currently not available for either wallets. Web/Mobile staking is planned, but we have no release date as of yet.

What’s new in Q2 for Espers?

Q2 Goals Involve:

· X-Nodes
· Side-Chains
· Mailing System

*Won’t necessarily be released in this order

X-Nodes

What are X-Nodes?

X-Nodes are not to be mistaken with Masternodes. Masternodes are a centralized system where users lock a specific balance to participate in additional network features and support them. After a certain timeframe, those users are rewarded with some of the generated coins from the next block if they qualify.

Instead X-Nodes are completely opt-in. This means any community member may participate in the system regardless of their current balance or previous experience. This ensures that the decentralization aspect of the Espers project and blockchains in general is not lost strengthening the overall network.

X-Nodes are ESP’s answer to decentralized Masternodes. They will not require a fixed amount of ESP to set one up, but you will need to register yourself on the network before you can participate. X-Nodes can be taken off whenever the host feels they do not want to participate anymore. Due to X-Nodes requiring a constant connection, it will penalize any participant that consistently disconnects from the network.

As with the POS system, the longer a specific X-Node is online the higher the chance it has of receiving a reward. The network will vote on X-Nodes and will favor those that are consistent and have processed the most data. The amount of ESP registered to an X-Node will affect its size. This will scale to prevent people from making multiple small X-Nodes, as it’ll be less efficient than creating a single large X-Node. X-Nodes will participate in all chains that are under the Parent chain. This will help support them all and keep the workload lower.

Side-Chains and Cross-Chain Interfacing

What are Side-Chains?

Side Chains are a way to process more data while alleviating network load from any particular parent chain. Many approaches require the main chain to interfere with the Side-Chains directly which has the Side-Chain fully reliant on the main chain. ESP’s approach is to have the Side-Chains remain capable of functioning completely independent. Using a Cross-Chain Interface to transmit data from one blockchain to another allows each chain the ability to distribute workloads while remaining exclusive.

Mailing System

What is the Mailing System?

The Mailing System is our answer to fix the problem of private keys being attached and sent over a blockchain. We plan to complete a system that sends the actual message. It will achieve this by storing raw text on a block which will be sent to the recipient. The benefit of this is it will be more secure than any other mailing system because it must be validated via the blockchain when received. ESP plans to also allow anything from basic images, to compressed files and documents to be sent. To accomplish this, the previously mentioned Side-Chain system will be implemented with ESP being the catalyst for the text data processing as it will be the parent chain.

Lastly, we would like to announce that CafeConTiki will be joining the Official Team as Head of Marketing.

Hi i’m Cafe — I won’t take up to much of your time but I’ll come forward with a few things about myself. I run a post production business working on everything from VR to graphic design to marketing. I design complex broadcast workflows using satellites and everything in-between which end up being the delivery system for millions of people around the world. I have delivered high quality content and strategies for brands ranging from Unilever, The UEFA Champions League to the 18 mill subscribed Youtuber KSI. I’ve got a few ideas and a tendency not to sleep until I everything gets finished, let’s move forward together.
This is a fantastic crypto and CryptoCoderz, IPandamonium, Monoxide, Arsonic and the rest of the official team and the Mods have put a lot of time and effort into this coin, I intend to work together with all of you in the community to shine a spotlight on Espers and place Espers up on a pedestal were it deserves to be.
