July Preview: White Paper and Credit Cards on the way

June was a terrific month for the history of Opacity. Successfully launching our flagship product has proven how serious and dedicated the Opacity team is. We are proud of what has been accomplished so far and looking forward to all the great things to come. We are glad to see so many already using the system and sharing it with friends and family. We will continue to make improvements and develop the product to the fullest potential.

Below are some details around site traffic and plans purchased by our customers in June.

Metrics

Traffic increased tremendously from early May to late May and June, due to increased marketing, beta release, and Opacity launch on June 5.

Overall, site users increased 30% in June and has been steadily higher than before our beta event. Increased sessions, pageviews and reduced bounce rate all correlate with a more engaged user base while on our site.

To date, the initial stage of marketing efforts has been focused on targeting the top of the funnel in order to hit a broad audience and bring as many eyes as possible to discover Opacity. Determining primary traffic source(s) for future exposure is the next stage.

Coinmarketcap has significantly outperformed our other referral sources. For this reason, although costly, it is likely we will invest more heavily in ads and marketing material with CMC. It is also likely we will initiate a more mainstream ad campaign via Google or Facebook to promote the credit card launch towards typical cloud storage users.

Conversions

Sign-ups in our first 25 days have been steadily increasing. Professional plans have only been active for 10 days and account for 10% of the sign-ups.

  • 128GB Basic Plans (June 5-June 30): 323
  • 1TB Professional Plans (June 21-Jun 30): 36
  • Total Storage Used (June 5-June 30): 285GB

Coming in July

We have many great things coming soon in July!

  • Opacity White Paper will be available for newcomers to learn about the platform capabilities.
  • Folder Feature: Folders will be available for organizing files.
  • Desktop Sync Feature: Windows desktop sync application will enable desktop file sync with your Opacity account.
  • Credit Card Feature: Fiat payments using credit cards will make our platform open to anyone. Everyone should be able to benefit from the increased privacy our platform uniquely offers.

Financial Update

June expenses came in at $93,827 in total. This was slightly lower than our forecast of $98,300 mainly due to lower than expected hosting costs. Other Expenses was higher due to legal expenses.
