Dear Indorse Community,

Thank you. Yes, thank you for your support throughout the last year.

I am writing this letter because it marks one year since we started working on the idea of Indorse. I remember being in Vienna last April, drawing the mocks for the Indorse Claims Validation Page, having calls with the dev team late at night, and spending my evenings writing the white paper. We have indeed come a long way!

I have been writing regular dev updates to tell the community about the development progress, but today I am going to take this chance to reiterate our vision, our message and what we stand for. Indorse has always been built on three pillars -

  • Ownership of your data
  • Monetization of your data
  • Validation of data

While we are on the verge of monetization of data, we have already launched the Company Validation Pages (CVP) and are working towards the ownership of data through the use of decentralized technologies like BigchainDB. We are also trying to propagate thought leadership in the community by working on topics like data privacy regulations and we will soon be coming up with a list of our initiatives in that regard.

Since I became the CEO of Indorse in January this year, my first and foremost priority has been to build a great product that users love. As a testament to that, we launched part of the Indorse platform on the Ethereum mainnet in March and also started making revenue last week! This is an accomplishment which I am very proud of and which sets us apart from many other ICO projects.

The global ISO standards committee will meet again in May this year to take further efforts to come up with standards for blockchain technology globally. This is fantastic news as it sets the path for bringing blockchain technologies to the masses. I am extremely humbled by the opportunity to represent Singapore at this Global Standards Setting Committee.

To imbibe our values and vision further into everything that we do at Indorse, we will hold a soft launch of our re-branding on May 28th in Berlin. This will mark a new beginning for Indorse, where every strategy, communication, and page on the Indorse platform will be aligned towards our common mission — to validate people’s professional profile using blockchain technology, particularly emphasising skills validation.

Our hiring processes and the way we work at Indorse has always been a personification of these values — be it the story of Arif Rahman, who went from being a hairdresser and an Uber driver to one of the leading Blockchain devs or that of Dipesh, who went from being a Chartered Accountant at PwC to being the Chief Business Officer at Indorse!

I think that Indorse is soon going to enter the growth phase, and the journey is going to be an intense one. In a few months, with a mature product on our hands, it will be time to scale up the systems and the business. We are bullish on the various scalability mechanisms being expounded by the Ethereum Foundation, including State Channels, Sharding, POS. But as a company, our main focus will be on understanding and implementing the Plasma MVP (Minimum Viable Plasma). As we rush headlong in this phase, my target will be to make Indorse a globally recognized brand for validation and trust.

In conclusion, I would like to again thank all of our supporters — our investors, our token holders, our community members and our team members. I wouldn’t have accomplished any of this without you! Your unwavering trust in Indorse has helped us build a company and a product that will surely provide a positive change in the society and make an indelible mark in the history of Blockchain and the decentralized economy.

Warmly,

Gaurang Torvekar
